Structure

As of April 2022, the community agreed on having a trimestral cycle of votes in order to make the DAO’s running more predictable to newcomers. This is also aligned with the core team’s vision of becoming redundant by January 2024; 24 months after the project's inception.

Each cycle of 3 months would always be organised in the same fashion and would create a hierarchy between the importance of three different vote types:

• One big vote
• Two Strategic votes
• Minor votes in between

The big vote

Quarterly vote where we make decisions having a major strategic impact on the DAO, always during the first week of the cycle. $GLMB tokenomics, $GLMB staking ratio, Jungle Bank stash distribution decisions are reviewed and voted on. Having a quarterly vote on these aspects provide our DAO with some stability and predictability for $GLMB holders while also ensuring enough flexibility to adapt the tokenomics to best serve the upcoming goals of the DAO if need arises. The big vote will also vote on a quarterly roadmap for the DAO, including the major targets and goals that the organisation aims to achieve during the 3 month cycle.

Strategic votes

There will be 2 strategic votes organised at the beginning of the 2nd and 3rd month of each cycle. These votes will take place on important strategic decisions ranging from where to invest some of the DAO’s community fund to partnerships and other major decisions that might have a long term impact on the DAO.

Minor votes

All the other votes will be called “minor votes” and will range on all other topics. It could be about the type of merch the community wants, or the sorts of maps that the community likes best for the game etc... We believe that by having this easy and clear way of running the DAO, it might be easier to be understood by all of its members and will motivate people who aren’t too active to at least show up to the important votes. It will also be easier to have a strong focus on some clear aspects for each cycle.

Roles & Functions

The holder community is organised based out of discord roles that grant access to different channels and responsibilities:

• Core Team: Mar1 and MrTin launched the GLMA project in January 2022 and work every day to push the project forward. They have the vision of becoming irrelevant by Jan 2024, 2 years after the start of the project, thanks to having decentralised and delegated all of their functions to the DAO. T0 joined the core team in April 2022.
• Wise Apes: Wise apes have a seat on the Jungle council and are in charge of working with the core team on preparing the snapshots for the community, as well as helping grow the project in the way that they are assigned to different areas of interest (tokenomics, marketing, governance, partnerships, game development and more).
• Alpha Apes: Community members who have contributed significantly to the project or are early supporters. Role grants access to the Alpha Apes club, to which anyone can get nominated for, and then promoted to if a majority of current Alpha Apes agrees to it. Advantage of being a member is to get some “alpha” early, and be able to discuss it with the Team and Wise Apes, before announcing it publicly.
• Happy Apes: This discord role is granted to GLMA holders and grants access to the #happy-apes channel, where some of the debates around governance proposals happen and general discussions involving the DAO.
• World Wide Apes: moderators of the different language channels
