Every Thursday at 17:30 UTC, the core team holds a community event, live on our discord server. This event has been celebrated consistently since inception, and gathers more and more members every week. Summaries of what is discussed are always shared by the core team on the #announcement channel, but it is always worth assisting as AMA questions provide the community with more details and insights on the future of the project.
The event consists of different sections:
The GLMA Lottery distributes a part of the royalties generated by GLMA sales that happened during the previous week. The lottery has three prizes eligible for all wallets that participate, and based on the number of GLMA they hold. You don’t have to come to the weekly event to participate in the lottery, but it's a lot more fun to see the core team run the code and showcase the winners live. Having fun while building something great is a big part of the GLMR Apes & GLMR Jungle community. Hosted most of the time by our beloved Mr Tin, each week we play several games which allow community members to enjoy and win juicy JPTS prizes for their Jungle Boosters (in-game).
Ape or not, How many apes, Ape maths, are just some examples of games. All of them have the community compete to find the right answer. The usual prizes range from 300 to 1000 JPTS per winner which gets send at the end of the event.
By winning a game, you also qualify for the final duck race where the winner receive a big prize (min 10 GLMR, up to 100 GLMR on special occasions.)
Make sure to participate in those games as the core team always has other surprises ready for the community.
Starting in April 2022, we began auctions during the events. First auctions were real life paintings of your GLMA paid in banana tokens, which provide further utility. There will be plenty of more surprise auctions done regularly, so don’t miss an event!
